MIKE ADENUGA MAKES 2011 FORBES WORLD RICHEST BILLIONAIRES LIST

Finally,Globacom Chairman, Otunba Mike Adenuga joined the list of Forbes richest billionaires in the world. To many Nigerians, this has been long in coming. Adenuga who is making the list for the first time is worth $2 Billion (US DOLLARS). Unlike last year when it was only business magnate, Alhaji Aliko Dangote that made the list following the removal of Femi Otedola (another billionaire and boss of Zenon Group who was listed two years ago), The 2011 forbes list goes a long way to show that Adenuga is indeed the ‘Gold Digger’ as he calls himself.

Mike who was once a taxi driver in the United States of America was born by into the influential Adenuga family in Ijebu Igbo. Adenuga’s first cousin, Oba Sikiru Adetona is the Awujale of Ijebuland (Awujale is the title of the paramount traditional leader of the Ijebu people in south west Nigeria). Though described as flamboyant on account of his acquisition of first class luxury items such as private jet, state of the art cars and magnificient buildings and a multi million Dollar wedding for his daughter, Bella, Adenuga is rarely seen at social engagments. He is known to own one of the most expensive houses in Nigeria’s most valuable choice area- Banana Island where land cost hundreds of millions of Naira.

Bill Gates came second with $56 billion fortune while Warren Buffet rose to $50 billion fortune.

Mercy Johnson: I Have Settled Rift With Ezuruonye

One of the most sought-after actresses in Nollywood, Mercy John, has claimed that she has settled her difference with star actor Mike Ezuruonye.

The Kogi State-born actress, who has been busy working from one location to another, particularly in Asaba, Delta State, disclosed that what happened between her and Ezuruonye was just a disagreement over a professional matter and that it has been resolved amicably.

She further said that her cordial relationship with the actor is still intact, while urging her fans to disregard any rumour that she is at loggerheads with her professional colleague.

Mercy was reported to have been rude to Mike on a film location, prompting the latter to vacate the venue, where he was supposed to have played the lead role, in annoyance.

Some of Mercy’s colleagues that spoke with Rayweezy on condition of anonymity, alleged that fame is now getting into her head and that in recent times, she has had misunderstanding with many of her colleagues, most of who are her senior.

Another source cited how she was rude to veteran actress, Patience Ozonkwor popularly known as Mama G, in a location lately. She therefore advised Mercy to avoid being labelled a bad girl.

With Wiz still riding high off the success of the platinum single "Black and Yellow" and the subsequent industry buzz, Amber Rose is making herself useful. He explained on how he started his musical career, actually my mum was a choir mistress, so I think the seven of us caught the singing bug from her. I’m the third in the row and the second son. I took to playing musical instrument and got into production while in secondary school in Onitsha, along the line, I got admitted to study mass communication at the institute of management and technology (IMT) and during my stay in school, I formed my own production called Glorious praise, A production studio set up to produce music solely for Gospel Singers.

He also explained the challenges he faced while growing up and how is ex military father shot at him once, because he could not come to terms with a son joining the train of lay about as musician, as they were seen in the past. But today, his behind me and given all the moral support I needed.

Nelly hopes that his fame will help attract kids struggling with weight problems. “It's a real big thing with child obesity, which is being overlooked," he said. "Kids don't get out and exercise like they used to, and that translates into their adulthoods."

The Glo Ambassador, whose new album titled, Egheghe, Based on Tradition , will soon rock the airwaves, is currently putting plans together for a grand opening of a drinking bar and peppersoup joint called, Angle 90 Entertainment Bar. Ekwe’s new joint, situated along Marwa Road, Alakija, Lagos, is an ultra-modern pub complete with air-conditioning and plush seats.

Confirming the report when SS caught up with him at the joint, Ekwe said, “My main reason for opening the place is because entertainers like me have few places where we meet and I decided to provide one. I had in mind to open a good bar where great minds can converge and reason. My passion is not just music. Another passion of mine is hotel management, because I studied hotel management. I want to put what I learnt into practice. Aside that, you sef know say I’m a shayo man, so I am opening this joint not just for drinks, but to also serve as an entertainment centre and a meeting place for entertainers and other people.”
